Para mi gusto la canción que mereció ser número 1 en 1980 es "Let My Love Open The Door" del gran y uno de mis artistas favoritos Pete Townshend. Es una de mis canciones favoritas de toda la historia de la música y lo tiene todo: muy buen ritmo, muy buena calidad del sonido de cada uno de los instrumentos, la voz de Pete Townshend IMPRESIONANTE... el único pero que le pongo es que es demasiado corta la canción, pero eso no quita que me parezca una canción 10!!!! Y el segundo puesto para mí lo merecieron REO Speedwagon con "Take It On The Run", preciosa balada rock de otra de mis bandas favoritas de la historia de la música.

La de Rocky Burnette "Tired Of Toein' The Line" la descubrí hace muy poquitos días y decir que ME ENCANTA. Esta, la de Pete Townshend y la de REO Speedwagon que mencioné anteriormente para mí son las tres mejores del año 1980, por el contrario la que ocupa el primer lugar no es para tanto... muy guapa Blondie y muy bien que se menea por el escenario... pero para mi gusto esa canción no está a la altura de ocupar el número 1 en un Billboard donde también está Pete Townshend. Si hubiese que elegir entre poner en el primer puesto a Blondie, a Desireless y a Level 42 con "Lessons In Love" sí merece para mí la canción de Blondie ir primera, pero estando Pete Townshend y Rocky Burnette en el Billboard el puesto número 1 le viene demasiado grande.
